We are excited to announce the 1st Additive Manufacturing for Linear Accelerators Workshop (AM4Linacs), dedicated to exploring how additive manufacturing (AM) can support and advance linear particle accelerators. The workshop will bring together researchers, engineers, students, and industry professionals to discuss current advancements, challenges, and opportunities in this exciting field.
AM4Linacs will take place at the Institute of Applied Physics (IAP), Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, from Thursday, July 31 to Friday, August 1, 2025.
The complete program includes:
- Talks on novel concepts, prototypes, AM & post-processing
- Discussions on current challenges, organization, and future collaborative strategy
- Social activities featuring a dinner and a short lab tour (Frankfurt Neutron Source)
Whether you’re experienced with additive manufacturing for linear accelerators, just starting to explore its potential, or simply curious, this workshop offers a welcoming space to connect, share ideas, and learn together.
To foster synergies, we encourage all participants to present their work in a short talk (~20 min). If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please submit a brief abstract (< 500 characters) also via the workshop homepage.
We encourage everyone, including students with an interest in AM and Linacs, to join the workshop.
With kind regards,
Hendrik Hähnel & Michael Mayerhofer
