About the Workshop

We are pleased to announce the 2nd Additive Manufacturing for Linear Accelerators Workshop (AM4Linacs), dedicated to exploring how additive manufacturing (AM) can support and advance the development of linear particle accelerators. This workshop will bring together researchers, engineers, students, and industry professionals to exchange insights on the latest advancements, challenges, and emerging opportunities in this dynamic field.

AM4Linacs is organized by the Institute of Applied Physics and Measurement Technology at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, Germany. The workshop will take place at the UniCasino (Building 61) on the university campus from 19. October to 20. October.

Campus access is provided via the main gate at:
Fliegerhorststraße 1, 85579 Neubiberg, Germany

(ID or Passport required for access to campus!)

The complete program includes:
  1. Talks on novel concepts, prototypes, AM & post-processing
  2. Discussions on current challenges, organization, and future collaborative strategy
  3. Social activities featuring a dinner
Whether you’re experienced with additive manufacturing for linear accelerators, just starting to explore its potential, or simply curious, this workshop offers a welcoming space to connect, share ideas, and learn together.

To foster synergies, we encourage all participants to present their work in a short talk (~20 min). If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please submit a brief abstract (< 500 characters) also via the workshop homepage.

We encourage everyone, including students with an interest in AM and Linacs, to join the workshop.

With kind regards,
Michael Mayerhofer & Hendrik Hähnel
