Description
Hirtisation is a family of chemical/electrochemical post-processing techniques developed for additively manufactured metal parts. Hirtisation aims to remove surface adherent particles, support structures, and reduce surface roughness. Since treatment only requires liquid-part contact complex geometries including hollow chambers and channel systems can be treated in addition to external surfaces. Application showcases such as tuned linac resonance chambers and rocket components are presented.
